tempo run on way home, canal, old railway to Colinton (same as 28/07/09 and 30/07/09).
approx 15'30 along canal, so quicker than before for that bit but then slower. (note times are approx - but should be within 5s) not sure if that was a loss of focus / lack of effort, or just not being fit enough. no obvious tiredness from long run on Saturday - limiting factor seemed to vary between heart/lungs and legs.

fast long run along old railway from Dunfermline to Alloa.
started at first overbridge, turned where cycle track leaves old railway just after B road at Clackmannan, finished at penultimate overbridge (800m short of start point).
was doing 4min k's at start then dropped to 4'10 near Devilla, picked up to around 4'06 before the turn, on way back was doing 4'12 dropping to 4'20+. combination of starting too fast and the 70m drop from east to west.

tempo run on way home. Stockbridge, Water of Leith to canal, short stretch of canal, old railway, Colinton, Redford Road, Dreghorn Services. felt I was running well but pace is disappointing - although distance might be slightly further due to winding paths and some time loss on crossing roads
