Carnferg with Kirst.
Met Jane at the cairn, she was doing a big 20k and told us about the website/app ‘Trail Fork’ with all the hundreds of wee mountain bike trails that cover every forest/hill in Scotland. Got the app downloaded onto our phone a before we even left the summit so a Fun 45mins was spent exploring trails in Birse woods.

Fun flat run on a scorcher of a day. Into banchroy from home along road/golf course and Dee. Then all the way to port arch along the south side continuing on from blackball just on the wee gilly trails. Picked Eilidh up just before trustach house but she stayed on the north side, and then met at the bridge for a swim.
Felt pretty good, niggles were minimal and felt pretty easy with no hills at all.

My first flat :((
Nice cycle with E- into Banchory, AA box, Finzean, along the fungle to birse church, was then planing on heading home over toms monument climb but in attempt to get a good spot on the “Forest of Birse church to finzean farm shop junction” segment leaderboard I got a flat :((
Pretty snail pace 3km cycle to finally catch Eilidh who had the phone and then a boring 40 mins sat at the road side waiting for dad lol.
Learnt how to change an inner tube when I got home :) thx dad
