Ballater to Aboyne gliding fields along the Deeside way with my pal Ciara who has signed up for next years Edinburgh marathon!! This was her furthest run so far, just took it easy and chatted the whole way, went by super quick. She’ll manage no bother, has more chance of completing 42 k than I do tbh.

Suns out Bums out!! Bikini run with Kirst and Eils up Broad Cairn from the back. A new route for all of us. Cycled to the lodge and then started up to Dubh Loch, up the cool waterfall gorge thing, round the back and onto the cairn. Definitely got some funny looks!! Decent wrecked my wee leggies but a nice icy swim helped :))

Clachnaben with the birthday girl :)) very enjoyable morning run with Kirst D up her all time favourite hill. She binned me on the climbs as per usual.
Pain in my lower left calf again, have been getting this a lot often on steeper climbs. Very uncomfortable and annoying as legs feel strong and able to keep running up however it feels very crampy and makes it difficult to keep on bouncing up :((

Quick stop of in Insch on my drive back to deeside from Pennan. Wasn’t planning on but spotted a fun looking monument thing (turned out to be Dunniedeer castle ruin) on top of a hill so pulled in to go for a little explore. Cheeky bit of segment hunting (and winning ;)) up and down the hill. Loving this heat that’s back again, feeling like summer :)

Troop head and Crovie loop with E along the new coatsal cliff trail past all the smelly gannets. Found some fun new paths on the way back up from Crovie through and between fields. Last run for the Hoka Speedgoat 2's, hardly holding together at this point with all the holes. Definitely time for a new pair of trainers.

Not as bad as I’d thought it would be, actually pretty fun, glad I had podcasts to listen too. 2nd half I did as a bit of a tempo, legs felt good but definitely needing my new trainers to arrive soon, so many holes barely holding them together

Little segment hunting run from Pennan to Troop head and back to see the gannet nests.
Stole the Pennan up AND down crowns from Eilidh ;) was too tired straight after the Pennan up to do Milshore up straight away but think I got 5th, might just have to go out and get that next week.
Felt a bit ploddy on the way out but bumped into a good pal of mine out at the cliffs so my spirits were lifted and the way back was more enjoyable :)

Quick nip up Bennachie/Mither Tap on our drive up to Pennan, looking for my deeside runners stone which last I’d heard had been moved out of deeside up to the trig point here. Sadly no stone was found :(( no clue where it’s gone but might attempt a longer run onto some of the other cairns up the bennachie ridge when we head back to banchroy .
Soo foggy, no views, felt like being in a cloud. Picked up some segment trophies but no crowns, might attempt a harder effort next time....

Lochnagar with joe and a quick nip up meikle pap on the way. Felt like winter up on top :(( windy, rainy and cold but you gotta love it! Tempted to head down once we reached the cairn at Cac Carn Mor but toughed it out. Decent down past the water fall and along by the loch.
3 cairns, 2 pairs of jelly legs and 1 strava crown :))
