Edale skyline training run (without Win Hill) on the break between shifts. Nice to have PB and did push hard bearing in mind the bad wind and without gels. Started well, but surprised that I was 10 minutes slower to Brown Knoll than in the race, but I guess I was pushing in the race to gain time lost finding the first checkpoint. 500ml water, two bananas and a slice of cake at 45-minute intervals. Ran well, but dropped off at Townend bridge, although not to the same level as the race. s/labs worked very well. Was nice to get a bit of confidence after losing a lot at Duddon.
