shoes: IceBug Zeal 2 RB9X

Training Camp Day3 - Morning

(short fast speed courses No.1)

Running the first course with my padawan as a warm-up, at his speed and at his level of orienteering.

orienteering (training camp) 9:48 [4] *** 1.5 km (6:32 / km) +80m 5:09 / km
spiked:3/4c shoes: Asics Gel-Cumulus 18

(short fast speed courses No.2)

Very nice run at a moderate tempo. Couldn't find the depression at control 3 immediately I think I lost at least 30 seconds there.

orienteering (training camp) 7:21 [4] *** 1.0 km (7:21 / km) +45m 6:00 / km
spiked:3/3c shoes: IceBug Zeal 2 RB9X

(short fast speed courses No.3)

Moderate tempo, no mistakes, small calf injury somewhere around control 3, when going around the depression.
2 PM

orienteering (training camp) 50:00 [3] 5.0 km (10:00 / km) +180m 8:28 / km
shoes: IceBug Zeal 2 RB9X

Memory training on the same terrain as the morning courses.
It went well until there was a map at the control, but around control 5 someone took the map, so I had to came back to the previous control for a map and from there back to the finish.
Pretty bad way to end the day and a training. Sad about it, but new day tomorrow.

Training Camp Day2 - Morning

(short mass start No.1)

Mass start practice on a very short (1.4km) course. As I already knew mass start is not my strength, so as usual, I've missed the first control, because of the fast pace downhill. I wasn't looking the map enough and went with the others to another depression with a control in it to the south.
Other than that it was okay.

orienteering (training camp) 18:00 [4] *** 1.8 km (10:00 / km) +40m 9:00 / km
spiked:2/5c shoes: IceBug Zeal 2 RB9X

(short mass start No.2)

Little rest after the first course before this one. I did a huge mistake to control 3 with a lot of other guys (1.5 minutes). Other than that it was fine. I started to get tired towards the end.

orienteering (training camp) 40 [5] **** 3.5 km (11 / km) +275m 8 / km
spiked:1/6c shoes: IceBug Zeal 2 RB9X

(middle mass start No.3)

Last course of the morning training, with a longer course and a lot of climbs.
Bad route choice to control 1. My legs couldn't handle the climb and I was already slow to control 2, mostly walking and very slow running from there.
Killer course for the calves.

2 PM

orienteering (training camp) 1:20:00 [4] **** 6.5 km (12:18 / km) +200m 10:40 / km
shoes: IceBug Zeal 2 RB9X

Memory running: We had a map at every control to the next control and had to run the leg without a map. It was pretty nice between the bigger and smaller depressions until we did a huge mistake (10 minutes??) with Levike towards the end of the course. And as you might have guessed, it is pretty hard to correct yourself without a map, but luckily we managed to remember the bigger details.
9 PM

stretching 30:00 [1]

Feri massaged my calves and thighs, and I did some SMR for myself.

spiked:10/21c shoes: IceBug Zeal 2 RB9X

Training camp Day1 - Warm up run
I had to run the first part of the course with a beginner from the club.
I went by myself from control 16 (we've run the course backwards).
I had some smaller mistakes near control 15, but after that, it was a nice practice for compass usage and going straight in the white at a high tempo.

Nice run and a great start for the camp.

(Some more mistakes around control 11)
