Running race 58:21 [4] 11.19 km (5:13 / km)

Snowy Mountains Trail Running Festival - 11km. Lake Crackenback.
This seemed like a great race to do - lovely mountain trails and a course that wasn't too long or steep. The 50km and 21km races had started earlier in the morning, with the 11km race starting at midday. I found myself in the top three early on, and then passed the other two in the first couple of kilometres, so then felt inclined to keep the tempo up fairly high for the rest of the run. The trails certainly were lovely but I probably over-cooked myself a bit and so didn't skip along enjoying the serenity that much. Just kept hoping to see the finish line. Held on to first female result and fourth overall, so really pleased with that as first trail run post Daisy.
My GPS didn't get a signal for a little while, so the course might have been further than 11km? And the race timing was out by a couple of minutes (official race time is 56.21). Really great event though, would recommend it to any trail runners out there!

Running 28:00 [3] 3.93 km (7:07 / km)

We spent Friday night in Jindabyne and then today up at Thredbo. After a busy but very enjoyable day out, we came back to Jindabyne and I took myself off for a little run along the Thredbo River and up the track towards Sawpit Creek. I was looking out for snakes as this is where I once came across a snake family. In the first 30secs of my run today, a big golden-brown snake shot off into the bush next to me. It made such a noise I thought it might be a kangaroo at first. On my return, I nearly stepped on a large black snake with a yellow belly. My foot was very close to its head but it didn't seem too bothered luckily.

Twilight event at Aranda Bushlands. A couple of wobbles. Tried to push hard and did ok but then slowed massively going up and over the big hill near the end.

Running 52:00 [3] 8.26 km (6:18 / km)

Daisy was trialling her first proper day at childcare, so I went running :) Hammy/butt pretty sore the whole time though :(
Ran a nice loop on Isaacs Ridge and as there was some cloud about it really didn't feel very hot at all.
