Orienteering 59:30 [3] *** 5.8 km (10:16 / km)
We went for a weekend away, staying in Cooma. Nice bushwalk in the North Ridge Reserve after lunch, then we headed to Mt Gladstone where I ran the course from the 2005 Christmas 5 Days (then Matt ran it). We were parked at the top so I started at c5. After I'd been running for a few controls I realised I was running the course backwards, oops. Not great concentration as is usually the case for me when not in an actual race. For example I stopped to dig up some old bottles protruding from the ground (my Dad collects them, well, he collects really old bottles, probably not the 1968 and 1960 ones I found).
Luckily there was a tearoom just near the top of Mt Gladstone so Florence and I hung out there, but her health deteriorated further and we had to take her into Cooma hospital where they checked up on her and put her on antibiotics.
