Late morning we did a walk from a picnic area by a river on the edge of the national park. We headed along a track towards the Sawpit camping ground and back. On our return I pointed out a tiny snake on the path, it was the smallest I'd ever seen, only 15cms. I followed it into a crack in some rocks, bending right down, only then realising Mother snake was staring me in the eye, curled up not far away! I quickly hurried on.
Then we went to the Wild Brumbies Distillery for lunch and to top up our butterscotch schnapps supplies.
