Sprint training at Bath Uni with Matt. My back was very sore and I couldn't get into the proper running position without sharp pain. Still tried to run harder than a jog though.
One 20min course and then one 10min course on an even more zoomed-in scale. Plenty of controls! (+40). The Uni had recently been mapped by Rhodri who kindly planned Matt and I these courses and provided maps and descriptions - cheers Rhodri!

Had planned some sprint orienteering training at Bath Uni but my back was very painful so just stayed at home and had a cracking 3.5hr afternoon nap!

Put on my socks this morning in the usual way but tweaked something in my back. Thought it would go away soon but was really bad and lasted all day. Was planning a 40min run but could only manage 15mins around Henbury golf course.

Not very fun. Struggled a fair bit with the breathing.

Usual race profile. Ok maybe I went out a little fast, but I've tried going out steady and it doesn't work. There are hills on the return! Legs didn't feel very sprightly in the warm up so was quite pleased to sneak under 19mins.
