Orienteering race (Eyam Regional Event) 59:16 [4] *** 7.6 km (7:48 / km) +190m 6:56 / km
19c shoes: Adidas Swoop - old

A reasonably good run, maybe lost 1-1.5mins over the course. The first part was across the moor through the heather, but at least it was mostly downhill. Lots of people out here and it made the nav less challenging. Later on the course went into the steeper, more runable section with smaller contour detail. Paths were really muddy but I pushed hard and kept the tempo up. A few hesitations, with the biggest mistake being when I ran around the wrong side of a hill from the last control to the finish... just wasn't concentrating that close to the finish... 20secs lost? Was good fun to go orienteering again :)

Running warm up/down 30:00 [3]
shoes: Adidas Swoop - old

10min run to the start with Matt - quite brisk as we thought we were late.
20mins after finishing.... from the finish to the assembly area and then on to the start again to pick up my thermal, and then back. Felt whacked after that!

Running (80% tarmac) 58:30 [3]
shoes: Asics Trail Attack

Ran some backstreets to Harrogate Rd, Sandmoor, down to Eccup Reservoir and around the south side of that for a bit, back via the school and Longwood, Birchwood Hill. A bit wet... but light when I started! (dark when I finished).

Running (streets) 30:00 [4]
shoes: Asics Trail Attack

Middle section of the run. Felt ok (left leg still bad though).... 30mins hardish takes forever!

Running 20:00 [3]

9mins to start with, 11mins at the end. Went Oakwood, up Gledhow Valley to Harrogate Rd, then back through the streets parallel to Street Ln. Then I still had 15mins to go so did some looping around the burbs near home. Heavy rain.

Running (streets) 29:30 [3]
shoes: Runners - old

Same run as Friday. Tried not to race Friday's time but couldn't help myself near the end (you know how it is).
Running along a straight stretch of High Ash Dr I clipped a garbage bin with my arm and it really HURT. Had to walk a bit before I could use my arm again and later had a lump and bruise :( I don't often run into things... was defo quite tired.
