Orienteering race 1:11:33 [4] *** 10.1 km (7:05 / km) +195m 6:28 / km
24c shoes: Asics Trail Attack - old

Burnham Beeches National event.
I was running ok considering the heavy cold I had earlier in the week, but my nav left a little to be desired! Started well but got bored and stopped reading the map and lost time. 2 x direction errors and 3 x control circle messes. Oops. 9mins off the winning time by Sarah R.

Running warm up/down 15:00 [2]

Just a warm-up (forgot about cooling down).

Orienteering race (JOK Prologue) 20:25 [5] *** 3.3 km (6:11 / km) +90m 5:27 / km
11c shoes: Asics Trail Attack - old

Whippendell Wood.
Wanted to have a good run so I didn't have someone fast starting 10secs after me in the chase. It went quite well and I enjoyed it. Hesitant to c2 as I couldn't work out the contours (up or down?), and I missed c5 a little.

Orienteering race (JOK Final) 22:21 [5] *** 3.7 km (6:02 / km) +80m 5:27 / km
16c shoes: Asics Trail Attack - old

I had a 45sec lead going into the final (over Anne Edwards) so that was a bit of a break but nothing to feel toooo confident about. But I ran steady and well for the first half and increased the gap. Then relaxed a little and made some small mistakes which was a shame. Anyway I didn't have to sprint for the line which was a relief :)
Matt had a harder challenge but he handled it well!!

Running warm up/down 30:00 [2]

For both races.

Running (streets, pm) 32:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Trail Attack - old

Just a little run around some streets (west). Not too slow. Had my music of course but the player died at the end and it's not just a battery issue :(

Note
(sick)

Feeling a lot better :D

Running (streets, pm) 32:30 [3]
shoes: Asics Trail Attack - old

North along Wike Ridge Lane, past Wike Ridge Gardens, and left along Wike Ridge Avenue, wiggling through Wike Ridge Grove, Mt, Mews, Court, Close, Fold and View and came out on Wigton Chase. Leeds is full of suburbs like this, so unoriginal!
