Orienteering race 1:12:43 [4] *** 9.0 km (8:05 / km)
19c shoes: New sneakers

District event on Burbage Moors.
Pretty good run; I felt like I was running alright. Lost 1.5mins on c12 when I was running across the open moors, got confused because I thought I had crossed a track when in actual fact I hadn't. Route choice to c8 was probably not the best, went wide to avoid yukky moors. But I think my concentration was good right to the end! 30secs behind Jenny.

Windy and cold.

Running 21:00 [3]
shoes: New sneakers

Ran with Matt to the bottom of Rivelin so he could show me how to get there (I've already forgotten).

Running intervals 24:00 [4]

From the end of Rivelin, I ran up along the river for a bit and then through fields and stuff until I got to the end of the small map I had. I was doing 2mins hard, 1min easy. But that was only 18mins, so I tried to run hardish through the streets back home but that was difficult with people, cars and intersections in the way.

Running warm up/down 7:00 [3]

The last bit of the run back home.

Running intervals 12:00 [4]

Not happy with how short my 'hard' session was, so did 3 x reps up Bramwell Street/Mushroom Lane (2mins up hard, 2mins down not so hard) when I got home.

Orienteering 1:00:00 [3] 6.5 km (9:14 / km)
27c shoes: o-shoes

O training at Tankersley. Went for a steady run round the course, and navigated fairly well. Found it harder to concentrate for the last 20mins, my concentration span isn't very long! But it was good to work on technique in a detailed area and I enjoyed it. Good map Neil!

Running 15:00 [3]
shoes: o-shoes

A mini warm-up, then I collected a couple of tapes after I'd finished (luckily Matt had pretty much re-run the course by then so I didn't have to get many hehe).

Note
(rest day)

Right hamstring still sore from Sunday so a proper rest day is best maybe.

Running 32:00 [3]

Went to Wharncliffe with Matthew. Thought about going to track but my hamstring was too sore, so thought I'd do some kind of fartlek session in the woods but my leg was too sore for that too! So I went for a slow jog instead. It was nice to get some fresh air though, and I saw a squirrel!!

Running 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: New sneakers

Freezing run around some streets with Matt. It was raining/snowing (not when we set off, otherwise I wouldn't have started!). Wasn't moving well at all because my right leg was useless, mainly tight hamstring plus sore knee and foot :(
