Running (terrain & fire trails) 1:08:00 [3] **

Headed out to Mt Clear in Namadgi and ran on the old orienteering map there. Half on fire trails and half through the nice open parts of the map. The weather was perfect and the bush was really lovely. Had a picnic afterwards then headed home, with a stop of about an hour at the visitor centre to change a flat tyre.

Orienteering race 19:50 [4] *** 2.8 km (7:05 / km)
22c

I thought I would do one of the Canberra Sprints, and thanks to Jim, Toph and Ron got a spot on the WE course. It was a bush sprint at Remembrance Park and was really fun.

Running (fire trails) 43:00 [3]

I was meant to be interstate this weekend but now I'll be away next weekend instead. Today I went for a run on Isaacs Ridge in between some house viewings. It was a lovely day to be outside.

Running (grass) 18:00 [3]
shoes: Kayano 17

A head-clearing run after another long day. Did some laps of Kingston oval. Couldn't quite manage one more lap to get over 20mins, but still felt well deserving of pizza for the 18.

Up to Red Hill Heights via peacock hill, then along the ridgeline. Back through Forrest via Torres St, a fitting name for one of the best streets in Canberra. Knees were sore for the second half of the run. I am without a car for another five days yet I’m already bored of running from home!

Note

Showing Heather around Canberra. Some highlights were seeing four red-bellied black snakes at Tidbinbilla and Matt being poured some wine by a waitress at dinner and then being asked by the waitress with a frown if he was old enough to drink it.
