Bridge Inn 5km.
Had rested up a little bit for this, but during the day felt really tired in general and my legs had no spring in the warm-up. Still, I set off fairly hard and just tried to last.

Really quite pleased with this time actually. 2secs slower that my PB set in April last year, so nearly back to form. Felt like such a struggle but pushed hard and was rewarded when I crossed the line and looked at my watch :) 2nd lady.

In the Mendips, from Burrington Combe. Was a nice loop which involved parts of the Mendip Muddle course. The drizzle wasn't too bad but the wind made things a little chilly. I was in a massive wind tunnel running down Cheddar Gorge and I had brain freeze for most of it, got pretty dizzy. Long Wood(?) was beautiful though and the smell of wild garlic so strong! Back over Beacon Batch and at one point was surrounded by 22 'wild' horses. Later in the run a horse galloped towards me naehing and scared me, I had to make a quick turn down a side path.

WOC Trials (long distance) on 'Holme Fell'.
Got off to a bad start and was overtaken by Helen P (3mins) on the way to c4. We raced to c5 and it was good to be reminded that I should try a bit harder. We saw a bit of each other over the rest of the course despite the butterfly loops and taking different routes to some. Really physical area and quite technical too at 1:15000. 4th place.

10 x 1min hills in Blaise. The path was a good gradient and not too boring. It was also one of the more secluded paths and so I found it peaceful to be away from the usual Blaise riffraff.

Warm-up jog to the hill (~17mins) mostly with Matt, plus recoveries plus jog home (~10mins).
