Running 1:17:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Trail Attack - old

Starting from Cote Hill - around Harewood Estate to the stud farm, past Rawden Hill, Bedlam Lane, Allums Lane, Bowshaws Ash trigpoint and back along the Leeds Country Way via fields, Emmerdale, Harewood Estate.
I think Matt did this two weeks ago, but a chunk of it was new for me, which made for a nice change. I enjoyed today's run more than any of the runs I've done in a long while. Pace was quite good, although I slowed down to get through the muddy field section, but finished strongly.

Running (streets, pm) 38:30 [3]
shoes: Runners - old

North loop - extended version (Wigton Moor). Felt well-rested, and had to keep slowing down as I only wanted to do a steady run. Drama struck 8mins in when the battery in my mp3 player ran out and I had to continue on in silence. booooo!

Note
(rest day)

So I got 12hrs sleep last night. That's just crazy, don't think I've fallen asleep that early for 20 years.
Anyways, no training today because it was off to the pub again for another work thing.

Wednesday Jan 28, 2009 #

Note
(rest day)

I don't feel too good.
Drinking on a Tuesday night is a BAD IDEA.

Usual mud-bath. Course was ok but area a bit small. Tried to run strongly across t'moor.

Running warm up/down 20:00 [2]

To the start and back from the finish.

Friday Jan 23, 2009 #

Note

Sick of running in the cold. Not doing it anymore.

Running (streets, pm) 27:30 [3]
shoes: Asics Trail Attack - old

Down through Roundhay Park on the road, along the A58, Hobberly Lane, Main Rd Shadwell and back home. Matt came with me. Good to have the company as it was late and I didn't want to go.

Running 20:00 [4]

The middle part of the run, after 10mins. A lot of this was uphill, tough!

Note
(rest day)

Busy.

Orienteering 50:00 [3] ***
shoes: o-shoes

Had a jog around on 'Danefield' map. I don't want to complain about the area so I won't say anything. There were about a billion dog-walkers out there today - wasn't alone in any bit of the wood for a second.

Running 51:30 [3]
shoes: Asics Trail Attack - old

Went running around Harewood Estate. Ran on some private tracks through the woods as I don't see why I shouldn't be allowed there. Some nice mini waterfalls in there. Felt shit.

Orienteering 43:00 [5]
shoes: Asics Trail Attack - old

45min score event on 'Roundhay Streets'. Was a tiny bit ambitious and didn't get all that many in the end (scale of 1:15000 threw me a bit). It was the cutest event ever.... the organiser was happy there were only 10 participants as he'd only printed 10 maps! Controls were all post boxes - I had no idea there were at least 30 evenly spead throughout just 1 or 2 suburbs!! No chance for a warm-down as I was handed hot soup on arrival at the finish :)

Running 4:00 [2]

Jog to the event house and back.

Running intervals (streets, pm) 25:00 [5]

5 x 1min (1min rec)
Went on the west-then-south loop, and did a bit extra around Lidgett Park streets near the end.

Running 23:00 [3]

10mins warm-up, some of the recoveries, 8mins cool-down.

Monday Jan 12, 2009 #

Running (streets, pm) 32:30 [3]

North loop. It was a lot less cold than it's been, yay!

Sunday Jan 11, 2009 #

Running 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Trail Attack - old

With Channah, down to the top of Malham Cove via a bit of the Pennine Way, then mostly back on a road. Was hoping for a longer run, but the weather was awful so was happy to end it after 1hr.

Orienteering 50:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Trail Attack - old

Did some trains with Matt and Neil, which Neil had planned for us. I wanted to run harder but struggled across the terrain (don't know why, it didn't look that bad). My concentration wasn't very good. I think my brain had frozen. Good to do some oing though...

Running 50:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Trail Attack - old

From the Malham Accommodation to the map and back with the boys.

Friday Jan 9, 2009 #

Note
(rest day)

Driving to Malham after work.

Thursday Jan 8, 2009 #

Running (streets, pm) 43:30 [3]
shoes: Runners - old

Headed north around Wigton Moor (a suburb, not a moor). Matt came too. I felt sleepy and not very fast.

Wednesday Jan 7, 2009 #

Running 51:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Trail Attack - old

Down through the park with a headtorch, around the back of the lake, up Elmete Lane, across the ringroad to Shadwell and back via the roads.

Tuesday Jan 6, 2009 #

Running (streets, pm) 20:00 [5]
shoes: Runners - old

10 x 90secs (30sec rec). Man, I felt bad! The coldness probably didn't help (my ideal running temperature being about 24 degrees). Matt joined me coz who could say no to some Tuesday night intervals? It was a good sesh coz I worked hard.

Running 25:00 [3]
shoes: Runners - old

10mins before and 15 after. We went north then west, but not as far west as last time so it was a better distance.

Monday Jan 5, 2009 #

Running (streets, am) 32:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Trail Attack - old

Morning run with Matt around the west-south-short loop. It was a bit cold and I felt rather sluggish.

Running 35:00 [2]

Clare's hen do run (about 10 or so girlies) + jogging to get there and back.

Running 57:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Trail Attack - old

A run with Kelly, for the first part trying to hang on to the back of Matt, Neil, Rob, John and Pete, and then the second part doing our own thing. We did the top of Rivelin loop that goes to Wyming Brook then down to the reservoir and back up Coppice Track. I like this run :)

Running 1:08:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Trail Attack - old

A run with Rach from the cottage in Edale up onto Kinder and along the edge. It was nice to be in the Peaks again. Everything was frozen and it was quite scenic.
