Billygoat at Earl's Trails, MA. Vintage PG edition course, lots of climb, wide range of difficulty in control placements. Climb felt tough today, but not abnormal. Made small bobbles when skipped, may be 2-2.5 min total. Most of the course I ran in company of Johnathan Bangert and Theodore Fong, from West Point and Ted Good, at one point we where with Alex Jospe, who skipped early. After I skipped 16 (not the best choice, but kind of worked in my favor, as cadets were puling away, and definitely would run away from me if we were close to finish together), I felt shaky on 17, (did I mentioned that I busted my compass on my way to 1, and used sun and shadows, and some time fellow competitors to orient my map), lost 1.5 min following Brendan, who exited that control, he stopped me, from going feather with him. lost a minute on exit from 17, and that allowed Speedy to pass me, I immediately took advantage of that, and he pulled me for next 2 controls, I was cleaner to 21, than Speedy skipped 22, and I was on my own, and low on power for climbing. I was very clean last 3 controls, but slow, while my train messed up 23 badly, that allowed me to finish in scoring 12-th place. Mission accomplished.
