Notts Schools XC - 16th

Didn't feel great beforehand but wasn't too fused about how it went as I'm first year in this category. Was a fast start and didn't want to stay with the group in front as I didn't want to kill my legs. Settled in with a couple other people and stayed in the same position for the next couple laps. On the last lap the guy behind me caught me up and we had a god tussle up the hill near the end. We got to the downhill sprint finish and my legs were dying so was waiting till near the finish to try and get in front of the guy. Didn't manage to get him and another guy came up out of nowhere so could have ended up 14th.

Overall happy with my run considering the circumstances. A guy who I finished just behind on the counties XC finished 6th so that shows where I could have been if I'd been a bit more prepared and tapered properly but also shows that the Counties XC taper worked out quite well!
