it was hard taking first step out of van into 44F and pouring rain, hinckley from topoledges around bridle to ledge lake then further W to kellogg rd, then back by boathouse and up thru ledges. probably 25 min-ish in woods, ran at a pretty decent pace, just felt sort of beat up, couldn't light it up like i hoped to. last 15min or so, nasty NE wind made my hands just frozen, otherwise ok.
saw one huge deer, probably at least 12pt. later 2 girls walking under an umbrella.

rain, 47F from happy days, long trail loop, plus some running in woods, then loop around ledges and trails west by octagon. actually felt pretty good, but ran an easyish steady pace.

3 circuits of a bunch of stuff, fairly easy on the leg stuff, felt pretty good but a bit sore from yesterday.

on pkwy/near edgerton, then into mill stream, carried map, felt awful for first 25 min, then it all sort of kicked in and felt ok.

from handels ice cream! (drop daughter off at work) E into brecksville, S on riverview, up drum hill, olde8 to 303, E to barlow, then W thru virginia kendal, road closed at akrn pnnsula, so thru peninsula, and S on riverview, by corn farm, N up to northhampton mtn rd, then back down steels corners then S to bath, N on riverview/ira past hale farm, W up everett N on 21 and broadview and back to van.
some team (7 guys all dressed alike) were chasing on riverview/ira, caught me at covered bridge at base of climb, chatted w/ 2 then they dropped me, 2 more rolled up and i then chased one and dropped him and almost caught the 3rd at the top by revere rd. it was nice heading N at 23-25mph on broadview heading back. 50 miles, avgMPH 18.0 didn't feel that good, ate too much before riding and stomach hurt

from ridge/pkwy: E on pkwy, loop around brecksville, S on riverview to ira, N along halerarm, then W up everett mtn rd/ledge rd, N on state loop around hinckley and N up sledding hill. 40.6 miles, avgMPH 19.0, maxMPH 44.6 (brecksville) intended to ride easy but, don't know why felt really good again, so was pushing pace, was at 19.8avg at base of everett climb. maybe its all the almonds i've been eating......but they're encased in a chocolate mass....so that probably helps too!
