running (trails) 1:03:00 [3]
shoes: HOKA stenson

Brecksville, from top of hill, down along golf course, then bridles, back to foot path, to bottom, then back. Wore original hokas w/o the heavy cushion insoles so shoes felt super light for a change, boppin along at a good clip, slightly rolled rt ankle, not enough to score a point for earth v. hoka, but felt a twinge/odd pain below/front of kneecap, patella?, so of course had to back off. Found 6 golf balls, chucked 2 back on course, hid 2 in odd places in trees, kept 2 (pro V 1's). Shutting it down side jobs starting yet again.

brecksville southern part of park, total running was maybe 30 min. rest was walking, zero motivation to run, didn't feel good.

cycling (road) 2:13:00 [3]

on rails to trails, from alexander S to silver springs, over to hudson and back, went down boston thrills, then up drum hill, there was an awesome spot to see sunset but missed it by 4-5min, all that was left was a glow.

crash update; jim remains in a coma, since crash, with severe brain swelling, he's barely hanging on according to dg, his girlfriend had open heart surgery to repair torn aorta, once stable, she has numerous serious internal injuries. other 2 who i don't know are out of hospital, one with neck brace following a neck operation.

like to offer you to take a moment of silence for the horrific cycling tragedy on thursday in brecksville that left one rider dead, and 2 life-flighted in critical condition.
I know one of the critical, i raced with the brother of an un-injured rider who held Matt as he died, story isn't correct.
Its bullshit that at least for now its being blamed on sun glare, hmm, if you cant see should you be driving? if you cant see should u turn?
probably ridden up/down that road over a thousand times through the years, it'll never be quite the same, as the cycling community is victim of another tragedy

from hearts content, E to cherry grove, down into minister valley, W to mayburg and up one last monster climb on gravel roads and back. aside from sore back, felt pretty good.

cycling (road) 8:10:00 [3]

from hearts content camp, jay wanted to ride up to chautauqua, picked our way north, way off the park maps, got stuck on some nasty gravel roads where we only went about 5-7mph. finally made it, went through town and all way up to mayville looking for lunch spot, finally ate lunch, retraced along lake and went to jamestown, then headed S to warren, at mile 97, had to do 5 k climb with +/- 650 ft climb, did it in 18 min, jay was 23. felt surprisingly well, i was worried throughout that i'd fizzle out. in my book alot of the ride kind of sucked because of narrow 55mph roads, on one section heading to warren there was an agonizing amount of tractor/trailers roaring by, most wall marts, at about 5pm on a sunday, i guess walmart needs their crap to sell 24/7. had hot foot issues. covered 108 miles.

in allegheny national forest, from hearts content, down 119, couldn't find desired route, adjusted on fly, finished coming S out of Chapman state park on the sand road just before sunset.
