80’ moderate

Warm up / hip mobility as per plan.

Set off probably too quick but felt good so just went with the flow. Legs felt good and not overly laboured. Once I settled down I got into a nice rythym and the legs were ticking over nicely.

Turned back on my self after 40’ started to feel a little harder but still kept that moderate intensity. Then I swallowed a fly with about 20’ left and had to stop for a coughing fit. Once i coughed my lungs up I got going again and felt good.

Last mile my stride changed I was more on to the front of my foot with a straighter back. I mentioned to Duncan that since I’ve returned I feel a little flat footed but he said it was probably safer that way. However my last mile felt easier on my forefoot. Overall a good session just need to avoid the flies.

80’ easy and strideouts

Hip mobility and warm up as per plan.

Ran along the canal towpath tonight and was a midge fest. The quads felt a little tierd but the run felt easy and mindful not to push too much ahead of tomorrow’s session.

Strideouts felt descent and the legs felt fresh.

Session as per plan

Good session today certainly stronger and more stable.

Turbo session 1:20:05 [3]

80’ turbo

Half expected the legs to be heavy but wasn’t the case so will probably have heavy legs on tomorrow’s run. Kept seated throughout and the resistance felt good not too heavy not to light. The session seemed to drag but felt good so wasn’t to bothered.

20’ easy @2% - 20’ tempo @12% - 20’ easy @ 2%

First 20’ flew by and warmed up nicely settled into the run fairly quickly. The pace felt comfortable and legs seemed good.

Hit the 20’ of tempo running broke the session down mentally into 5’ blocks. First 5’ thought I pherhaps had gone a little light on the pace and wondered whether to increase it however after another 5’ was thankful that I hadn’t. For the last 10’ the legs felt heavy. The quads were working hard too. Could feel that burn in the legs but weirdly quite enjoyed the feeling. The last 5’ my head wanted to slow it down but I didn’t allow myself that option and kept pushing. Felt good to get the 20’ done was hard but found another level.

Last 20’ was a doddle in comparison. The first 1-2’ just jogged it off before get back into a easy pace and the legs didn’t feel to bad or that heavy.

60’ diaganols

Warm up and hip mobility as per plan.

Out and back along the canal with diaganols done on the footie pitch midway.

Set off and legs felt light the pace was comfortable and just got myself into a nice rythym.

Diaganols felt good. Spent a little more time on the recovery and didn’t rush it. Certainly helped and felt good,

Set back home and into a head wind. Couldn’t complain as I must have had the tail wind at the start. Regardless kept the pace comfortable and reminded myself to keep the legs fresh for tomorrow’s session. Got to the end of the run and didn’t want to stop as I felt good.

ahr:104 max:112

80’ turbo

Set off with a good rythym. Got into the session quickly the first 60’ went fairly quick and the legs felt good too. Last 20’ the time seemed to slow but the legs still didn’t seem overly fatigued or tiered.

80’ easy

Hip mobility and warm up as per plan.

Set off and was expecting today’s run to be uncomfortable but it wasn’t. The legs felt really good and quickly into a nice rythym. Felt really easy and no pain in my abdomen. Turned back and headed towards home but just kept improving during the run.
