Running (trail/fell) 59:52 [3] 7.34 mi (8:09 / mi) +25m 8:04 / mi
ahr:137 max:155

60’ diaganols

Warm up/ hip mobility as per plan. Hip flexors now feeling good and certainly more flexibility in both hips.

Set off and felt heavy had way too much fibre at lunch and felt uncomfortable. The legs felt heavy this evening too. Got into a nice rythym and let the legs tick over. Onto the football pitch adjacent to the canal. Seemed fairly decent diaganols and running nicely. Last 25’ was just get home and keep it really easy ahead of tomorrow’s session. By the end the legs didn’t feel to bad.

Turbo session 1:20:03 [3]

80’ turbo

No hr belt today so did the session to feel. Surprised how well the legs felt post yesterday’s sessions and this mornings strength session. Pedal well for the first 60’ but then got hungry so the last 20’ dragged a little overall felt a good session. But next time will have a bigger snack mid afternoon.

Strength tx 1:00:00 [3]

Session structure as per plan.
Legs ok and feeling like the gluteus getting a good workout now. Certainly feeling stronger on my posterior chain.

20’ easy @ 2% - 2x10’ tempo @8%/ 2’ rec - 20’ easy @ 2%

Warm up /hip mobility as per plan.

Set off with fresh legs and the first 20’ felt good and easy. Into the tempo effort and felt tough had to push and could feel the legs becoming heavy. The 2’ recovery seemed to fly by. Into the second tempo effort and the legs were heavy again and could feel the fatigue setting in. Just pushed on and managed to get through the interval. After the second effort knocked the pace back to a walk and used the 2’ recovery as a walk recovery. Last 20’ felt surprisingly good and just settled back into my rythym.

60’ easy and strideouts

Warm up and hip mobility excersises as per plan.

Still struggling with hay fever but an improvement in yesterday. My symptoms ironically are better when I’m exercising. Set off with fairly fresh legs. The weather was good for running, sunny but not too hot. This did however bring the midges out. Turned back and headed for home started to feel a bit tired so just eased off the pace with tomorrow’s session in mind just wanted to keep it easy on the legs.

Strideouts felt decent and the legs picked up well. Overall a good session.

Turbo session 1:20:02 [3]
ahr:99 max:106

1hr 20’ turbo

Struggling today with hay fever but felt my best once on the bike. The legs span over nicely but hot bum ache after about 45’. Not much fatigue in the legs so just kept it going.

1hr 30’ easy

Warm up/ hip mobility as per plan.

Set off and the weather was nice ran earlyish so that I wasn’t in the full heat of the day but was good to get out in the sunshine. The calf’s felt heavy but otherwise moving well. Perhaps should have eaten more after yesterday’s run as a little low in energy but seemed to cope nonetheless less relatively well. Kept the pace easy and felt reasonably confident on the climb. Quite hesitant and slow on the descents. However there were lots of people out walking today so struggled to get into a rythym on the descents due to foot traffic.
