CSC heat around Sherwood pines. Better and happier than the other races I've done this week, nav and technique was pretty sound, although a couple of mins lost through mistakes.
Also, my 1 week old compass broke halfway round the course which wasn't ideal. Didn't help my race with it leading to a few off bearings (is it a bearing if you don't have a compass?) and a few safe/ time costly route choices but I felt confident enough without it to not completely ruin my race

Second attempt at Tankersley training, this time in the daylight with a no paths map.
Given my recent O-Woes, I took it very slow and very pedantic, making sure I stuck to my plan at each control, restarting the control if failing to do so. Despite 2 major cock-ups, its an incremental improvement from the last week.

Fat Cat Orienteering race. 3rd bad race of the week. Went to 9 instead of 6 (approaching from South) which cost me 6 mins, then after that I lost motivation and focus, making even more mistakes. Not in a good mood. At all.

Storming around Rivelin to produce the 8th fastest Strava segment!!! 2 mins behind Nathan's record on a soggy, flooded track isn't bad, but I hope to narrow the gap before he comes back to Sheffield in September!!
