JK Relay - Minley
Men's short - 2nd

Unsure of position due to results being crap. Went out on second leg in 7th, 3mins down on Harry. Spiked the first lot then 30s miss on #3 not seeing the control behind the bush. Lost the pace through the next few being too hesitant losing a minute in total by the time I was at #8. Pushed down to spectator with a small 30s miss on #13 then a sprint to the finish. Apparently went from 7th to 2nd and then suddenly 1st on last leg. Don't trust any results as they'll probably reinstate everyone but a nice end to a tiring weekend.

Hopefully emit will be banned from JK as it seemed to be a total disaster.(Results confirmed)

Orienteering race 1:40:06 [5] **** 14.84 km (6:45 / km) +299m 6:08 / km
ahr:168 max:190 shoes: Inov8 X talon 212

JK Long - Cold Ash
M18E - 17th (+28:15)
(15th overall)

Arrived late so no time for a WU. Set off slow just aiming to nail the first few. Saw John coming out of #6 so knew I had caught 1.5mins on him. Good to #8 then having to stop for a minute to get my shoe off to take a thorn out. Harry M caught me at #10 so was with him until #15. Pathed left all the way to #16 and halfway got hit by the bonk. Could barely run from here meaning Dan caught me. From there it was a slog to the finish picking up the final bit of pace when Louis caught me.

Overall better than I expected to do. Some good nav done but the rest is fitness. Need to be more confident in the control circle as I'm too hesitant. Probably the best JK since 2016 so that's a plus. Easy 3.5km relay tomorrow so legs should cope fine.

Organisers are dumb. How fucking hard is it to have more than one water point.

JK Middle - Windmill Hill
M18E - 20th (+10:24)

Was a bit of a dumb for the first few going straight instead of round and was dead by #8. Probably lost 2.5mins from this then 1.5mins on hesitations. The rest is mainly running speed. But bar mistakes the time would be enough for top 10 which I'll take. Aim was to be top half and less than 10mins down on Pete which was partly accomplished. Oh well much better than last year at least.

Down the canal and back. Super nice coming back through the woods as the sun set and temperature was perfect. HR seems very high.
