slept:6.5 shoes: Nike Epic react (blue)

First two legs of the new Belfast marathon course. Chilly but not too much wind. Enjoyed this run. Everything felt fine and had no trouble with the ankle or achilles. Quads still a little heavy towards the end. Only frustration was not being able to find my teammate at the relay changeover point!

Easy run on road, beach and trail. Felt fine although for some reason my right ankle was painful. Not the Achilles bit the inside part of the ankle

Running - Grass (Easy) 46:46 [3] 5.62 mi (8:19 / mi) +134ft 8:08 / mi
slept:8.0 shoes: Nike Epic react (blue)

Easy run around mallusk playing fields. Nice evening for running, finally able to wear shorts and T-shirt although it was still a bit on the cold side! Could feel my quads as soon as I started running. Rest of body felt ok but quads persisted to be uncomfortable for the duration. I also felt one or two minor twinges in the right Achilles. The fling must have agrravated the previous injury. It doesn’t seem serious but I will get straight on to the weighted eccentric drops.

Note
(rest day)

Last rest day after the fling. Couldn’t really run today in any case as I had a work trip to London with a late evening flight home. Legs are feeling almost back to normal. Have done a lot of walking today around the streets of London as well as up and down lots of stairs to underground station etc and everything is feeling fine. The Achilles hasn’t given any bother since feeling it on Sunday morning.
