Running (Warm up) 15:00 [1] 2.63 km (5:42 / km)

Running 20:00 [5] 4.4 km (4:33 / km)

Mona fartleck session along aqueduct from Langford’s. Turned around after 10 mins and finished 5 secs over the start line so pretty good pacing. Was pushing hard especially on the 15 second ones.

Ugh someone (Asha) had a look at the Strava segments around Falls Creek and found one that went straight from basically the bottom to the top of the village - 200 metres with 50 metres climb over 3 long sets of stairs. The fastest women wasn’t that fast so they though Ella and I should give it a go to try and beat it. Had a large crew at the bottom, top and all the road crossing to control traffic (Lani did stop someone but they didn’t seem too annoyed). I got 1:35 so managed to beat the fastest women by quite a while but also beat all the men (although the fastest man did it during a 17k race so respect to him). Don’t know Ella’s time cos she hasnt uploaded yet but I think she just got me. Was absolutely dead but followed it will chips and juice at the cafe and a dip in the lake so was a good day.

Walked from the dam wall to Ropers Lookout with Mum, Dad, Tara and Ella. Was slow with Tara’s knee (especially going back down the hill) but got a really nice view :)

Was suppose to be a rest day but that didn’t stop the second session of Willy’s Wonderous Workouts. Did a bit more jumping and hoping up stairs which I wasn’t very good at but overall not too bad.

8 x ~ 1 min hills going up and pushing for about 10 secs along the top of the water tank hill then jogged down the other side. Felt really good and like I could have done more but thought that would have been a bad idea considering how much is happening this week.

Long run from Langford’s Gap along the aqueduct towards Fitzy’s Hut but turned around after 6.5k. Was quite boring because to get to the interesting stuff you had to do a loop which was quite a bit longer but did have some good chats.

Woohoo Falls Creek training camp. Missed the first day so went straight into 4 x 1k reps on the track where all the good runners do them. Did them on a 6 min cycle but had an extra minute rest before the last one. The altitude was definitely a shock to the system and was dead by the last one (which was about 25 secs slower than the other ones even with the extra rest whoops).

Bleugh. A slow and not very long long run. Went up to ridge to the cafe, up and over the trig, down the power line track on the right, along the houses and around the golf course with some extra stuff.
