S&C (Core only) 30:00 [1]
slept:7.5

I just had time for 2 rounds before work:
Hamstring curls (single leg reps) 16 16
Push-ups 20 20
Side plank (hip drop knee to chest) 60s on each side
Slidey abs 60s
Single leg arabesques (reps) 12 12
Adductor side plank - 40s on each side
Reverse plank (WITHOUT leg raises) - 40s (Duncan suggested this as an easier variant). It felt fine, probably because my hamstrings are better.

Running (easy) 53:00 [2] 5.6 mi (9:28 / mi) +197m 8:32 / mi
shoes: Speedcross 5

Jog around the fields. I had loads more energy than I usually would after work. Plenty of bounce and seemingly no fatigue from hill reps yesterday. Perhaps I should run them a little harder next time. 6 x strideouts were great. It's the first time in ages I have been able to enjoy them - partly because I was feeling fresh, and partly because I wasn't worrying about my hamstrings.

Running (Long hill reps) 1:52:00 [3] 12.0 mi (9:20 / mi) +772m 7:47 / mi
slept:5.5 shoes: Salomon Sonic RA

Not a good night sleep wise. I struggled to get to sleep then woke up a couple of hours before I intended to. A few pieces of work I need to get done before CA playing on my mind. I actually didn't feel too tired until I got back from my hill rep + physio outing, but managed a 15min nap when I got home.

3 x Mam Tor, jogging back down the path rather than the road. I ran these easier than I have previously, about 8/10, and didn't look at my watch. Unfortunately, thanks to Strava segments, it can't be completely blind! My gluts were a little sore after S&C yesterday, but I didn't really notice them during the actual reps. I felt really strong on all 3, and had enough left to do more if I had to. On the 1st rep my breathing felt really heavy, which is probably a good sign. Really enjoyed the session. Both hamstrings were completely fine, as were my quads. It seemed quite cool when I set off so I didn't put a water bottle at the bottom of the hill which I really regretted by the 3rd rep. Other than that, a perfect session.

Saw Duncan, who did some work on my hamstrings and quads. No issues.

S&C 1:10:00 [1]

5' warm up on the bike
3 sets of 6-8 reps:

Goblet squat (kg) 24 26 28
Suitcase deadlift (kg) 2 x 18 20 22
Step ups (kg) 2 x 8 12 12
Split squats (kg) 2 x 8 12 12

Hamstring curls (single leg reps) 16 16 16
Push-ups (reps) 20 20 20
Side plank (hip drop knee to chest) 50s on each side
Captains chair leg raises (reps) 12 12 12

Single leg arabesque w/ 6kg (reps) 12 12 12
Adductor side plank - 40s on each side

I seem to be able to do more single leg hamstring curls which is probably good thing.

Running (easy) 1:26:00 [2] 9.0 mi (9:33 / mi) +397m 8:24 / mi
slept:7.5 shoes: Sense Ride 2s

About 20degrees today so decided to run in the middle of the day (once my plans to go to work were scuppered). Again, felt pretty good. I can still just feel that little niggle in my left hamstring but I wouldn't call it pain.

Running (easy) 1:08:00 [2] 8.1 mi (8:24 / mi) +240m 7:41 / mi
slept:8.5 shoes: Salomon Sonic RA

I drove to the gym then ran the loop I've run previously. More road than trail. I felt really good, heaps of energy. I haven't felt this fresh in ages. I did some strideouts in the gym car park and after a couple I could just feel my left hamstring starting to tighten up again. It was really minor though, but I stopped at 4 to be safe. I hadn't had any niggle there up until that point.

Running (easy) 1:14:00 [2] 8.2 mi (9:01 / mi) +328m 8:02 / mi
slept:8.5 shoes: Sense Ride 2s

Still in Somerset so the sauna on the plan didn't happen. Another run on the Quantocks, on my own this time. It was sunny and I felt great, really wanted to run for longer. Loads of energy and no real tightness anywhere. I did 6 x strideouts on the lane at the end which I was able to do with much more confidence.
This afternoon I can feel just a tiny tiny bit of something in my left hamstring (where it was last week) and I can easily pin the spot when foam rolling. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't even have noticed though.

Running (Easy) 1:00:00 [2] 5.9 mi (10:10 / mi) +285m 8:51 / mi
slept:3.5 shoes: Sense Ride 2s

Late night but woke up really early, so not feeling great. Once hen activities out the way I went for a run on the Quantocks with my parents. If it wasn’t for the lack of sleep, I’d probably have felt really good. Legs a little heavy but actually quite minor all considered. No real tightness anywhere, and my hamstrings are fine.
