At Hawrelak Park, WO: 2k WU, 6 min Active, 8 k progression run, increasing effort every 2k to Saturday effort, 15 down. PSS.
Major grind. I was struggling from the start. Splits were: 7:53, 7:47, 7:19, 7:03. The hills and wind made it a lot more difficult, but on the last 2 k I thought I pushed through it well. I need to recognize when I am fighting myself so I do not misperceive effort.
WO: 15 up, 12 tempo, 3 min jog, 1, 2, 1, 1, 2, 1 min with 1 min jog, 15 down - Monday effort. 3 x Strength X. First workout back in Edmonton. The tempo was a struggle and I was probably a little over effort, but after the 3 min jog I felt like my legs were back and I pushed hard. Grindy.
