Running (Treadmill) 58:38 [3] 10.3 km (5:42 / km)
ahr:175 max:184

Managed a bit of a longer one on the treadmill today, the only started to feel my hip after about 7k and it wasn't so painful that I couldn't continue

Cross Training 15:00 [3]

Adding a bit of extra time to the session on the exercise bike.

Running (Treadmill) 34:32 [2] 6.1 km (5:40 / km)
ahr:184 max:193

Another run on the treadmill. This time I went at a lower pace (5:30/km) according to the treadmill with the hope of getting further without my hip giving me grief. As soon as I as I felt a slight discomfort (at 6km), I decided to stop immediately and use the exercise bike to make the session longer. Heart rate even higher this time, even though the pace according to the treadmill was slower (the distance, pace and time logged are form my watch and so aren’t 100% accurate, although still not too bad). The only explanation I can think of for the extremely elevated HR is a combination of the heat and lack of fitness. The HR definitely doesn’t seem to be representative of my relative effort.

(rest day)

Decided to have the day off after waking up and still feeling my hip from yeasterdays run.

Running (Treadmill) 45:13 [3] 8.0 km (5:39 / km)
ahr:175 max:190

Having a go on the treadmill, seems to have less impact on my hip than running on the road. My hip did start to feel uncomfortable after around 6k but I wanted to get a longer run in so kept going. Approaching 8k my hip started locking up almost and nearly fell of the treadmill so decided it probably best to stop. It’s worth noting that it wasn’t especially painful though. Again my heart rate seems extremely high compared to the relative effort and pace.

Cross Training 1:00:00 [3]
ahr:161 max:184

An easy hour on the exercise bike, didn’t seem to have any impact on my hip which is good. Heart rate seems pretty high compared to how it felt, can probably put this down to a lack of fitness although the gym is very warm so maybe that had an effect too.

Road Running 37:30 [2] 7.3 km (5:08 / km)

Think it might be improving although it’s hard to tell. Felt like more of a discomfort than a pain this time and still felt like I was able to maintain my form. Still more recovery needed. Finally got my gym membership sorted so will be able to do some cross training.
