Orienteering race 49:30 [5] 7.39 km (6:42 / km)

British Night Champs - 1st M16
Great race overall, making a small 30 seconds error on #7, a little annoying but relocated quickly and didn't lose too much time or distance. No other navigational errors, only feeling a little stiff at the beginning but felt great halfway round. Loved the area and the navigation with no problems running through the grassy sand dunes.

Orienteering (Night) 25:53 [3] 3.43 km (7:33 / km)

Night sand dune training around Kenfig Burrows, practising for tomorrow. Felt good and clean navigation.

Orienteering race (Night) 59:53 [4] 9.14 km (6:33 / km)

Night Score event around Millbank, Sevenoaks. Great area, a little felled in some areas but felt good running through rough forest and through brambles.
Only problem was I lost too much time looking for control 100 and just ended up missing it and going on to get more controls. Got a good score (160) and came 3rd.

Running (Run Squad) 45:00 [3] 4.0 km (11:15 / km)

WU

Run Squad, doing 500m reps around xc style, rough-ish terrain with a lot of routes around the school grounds. Then we did some sprints for the latter part and a WD to end. Good to get some light at last!

Orienteering (GO Bananas) 1:00:00 [3] 6.0 km (10:00 / km)

GO Bananas training in Farley Heath. Good terrain training as I was constantly running through bracken and brambles so pretty scratched by the end. Set out and collected most controls as well as some running in between.

Orienteering race 59:50 [4] 7.55 km (7:55 / km)

PIOM Long Distance.
Pretty fed up with the unrunnable terrain and seemingly infinite green that was marked as yellow! I lost a total of about 9 mins to the winner by bad route choices (going straight) whereas I could have easily gone round on a path. I didn't know how rough it was so I went straight but was not a good decision. Bust my knee open, hobbled found and ended up in First Aid tent.

Disappointed with my run, as I could have done much better today. But heyho, still came second on the day & overall, so got a nice medal & flowers at prizegiving, so that was good.
