Night-O - Slate Fell
Focussed on using my compass and was going really well until 13 where i forgot to go through 2 gates. Then nothing fitted and direction was completely off but i just ran down the hill thinking ‘i will see the green’. Ended up off the map lol - wasted about 4mins! Was confused also near the circle as the undergrowth wasn’t there anymore. Not too fussed about the mistake as there was many more positives than negatives!! Worked a bit on the ups but chilled on the flat/downs because that’s when knee hurts.

easy jog - would’ve been longer but it was v dark & i was literally running on the energy of a digestive biscuit aha. Knee still sore but manageable on grass.

really rough going but really enjoyed it. Map was lush <3 Technically i think i was pretty good just drifting a bit left on the way up to control 3 but i realised quickly and went back on line. Then a bit unsure near the circle at 6 as to whether i was in the right place but i was, just needed to trust myself a bit more.
Spoke with Rona beforehand and decided i’d focus on good compass to a good attackpoint and then reading the map well in/near the circle. Think i managed to do this pretty well, a bit wobbly to 1 but once i got into it i planned well and my compass was decent like!! Good weekend :)
Knee felt okay on the course, a bit sore on the downhill but i expected that. Was sore walking back down to cars also so will rest it now.

Line course and then 2 compass exercises. Knee was sore so just walked the compass exercises as the area was pretty rough. Compass was better than i expected so was quite pleased.

“sprintervals’ - decided it was best to walk this again as knee feels worse on tarmac so not best to make it any worse than it is. Did map memory again with Rona and learned about what the control descriptions mean haha.
