5th. Some good nav but also some not so great stuff. Just got really confused on number 2, binning 1.5 mins. Was hesitant on 3,12 and 13 losing more time. Small direction error at 9 and a tad too low on 10. Lost about 3-3.5 mins overall. Positives to take but also areas to improve!

Taking it pretty steady, trying to practise doing a quick compass bearing, sighting where I was going and then running on that line. Nav was all good, not on a particularly hard area, only lost 10secs at the most being too hesitant in the circle and going to the wrong side of the crag. Could feel the achilles when contouring and going steep uphill so took it slow on these parts.

Achilles isn’t hurting when I stretch it and it only hurts in one place (where the lump was) when pressure is put on it, eg. My shoes pushing on it when I try to run. My dad thinks it’s not my Achilles and it’s a bruised bone or something. Will be trying to go on a slow jog tonight to see how the pain is etc.

Slow tester to see how the pain was whilst running. Still some pain especially on grass and uphill, but its very bearable. Things are looking better and will most likely be able to run on Saturday! Another shake out tomorrow at orienteering to get rid of stiffness etc from week and a half off.
