BOC Relays - 3rd - Women’s Short
1st leg (4th, +~3mins)
Set out quite fast and hit #1 at the front with an syo lady. Was running well at the front to #2 but missed it in the circle allowing everyone to catch up. Mairi got slightly ahead to #3 and then i messed up the exit to #4 and Mairi and Kirstin got away. Pulled back time on Mairi at the end of the leg though and was entering the control as she was leaving. Just behind for #5 then i missed #6 and she got away.
Solo from here to the end and was just a bit of a mental battle to keep going because i had the filthiest stitch ever. Some random guy videoed me just before #8 and it really put me off and i missed it letting Chloe and someone from Aire catch me and overtake me. Lost 90s here. Then a bit of a panic into the finish but managed to get a decent gap just being a faster runner on the easy bit.
Not happy with my performance, i was so so scrappy and just so slow through it all. Not great. Loved the mass start experience though just a shame i kept losing so much time. Not my kind of area though!
Team managed to get up to 3rd (and so close to 2nd!!) which is great tho <3 woo!
