Run 56:48 [3] 6.06 mi (9:22 / mi)
shoes: Topo Terraventure

Run at Harmony Hill. Goal was just to stay loose and feel good. Got some nice elevation and even tried the segment at Harmony Hill at the end. If my garmin ever gets its stuff together it might finally register on strava...

Arc at PF. Nothing special.

Run 41:35 [3] 5.79 mi (7:11 / mi)
shoes: New Balance Vazee Summitt Trai

Run at Cheslen. Planned on the gym but it was nicer and drier than expected. Temps in the low 50s, almost perfect for running. Ran the red trail from Stargazer to 162 and back to avoid too much elevation. Soleus were sore, which is a bit odd for a trail run. Felt strong throughout though, working out a few kinks from the last few weeks.

Stationary Bike - Gym 10:00 [2]

Gentle, short ride to see if my knee would hurt. Started getting nervous so I just gave up.

French Creek Score-O.

No map preview, so I had to plan on the fly. I was happy with my route choice, as I was planning to clear the course. Had I known that I would be dropping, I would have done a few things differently and would have ended with 15-20 more points. Still, I'm not too upset about it.

I struggle with 50 and ended up skipping it and 59. A park ranger and some no trespassing signs messed me up entering 62, but i found it just fine. My errors around 50 caught up with me though, as I was low on time and at the furthest control. I dropped 61 and made my way to 63 (I thought it read 53, but oh well...). Some thick brush and mud that stole my shoe got me off track, and I ended up at 55 after following the stream the wrong way. At that point, I had to start bailing, so I ended up also leaving 58 and 57 to work my way back on roads. I ended up leaving 67; it was easy but just a bit too far out of the way. I also left 42, but I think it would have been very close and I may have been able to grab it.

My score wasn't impressive because of the points that I dropped (all 5s and 6s with one 4) but I'm happy with my route choice and speed. If I were to do it differently, I would skip 48 and 45 to start and save them for any extra time at the end.
