HTandE run on my AWC loops in the neighbourhood. Fell on the ice on our street on the way out and got a bum soaker and two wet gloves. No injury that I could notice, so I continued on and thought “Hey, the sun and my body heat will eventually dry me out!”, which they did after about 5 km! Before that, the cold wind made things interesting on the wet spots. Had fun (?) doing a few pick-up reps on the end-of-Connaught hill at about 5 km into the run, just for some variety.
After finishing, I did 25 min of ‘Slate Bar and Shovel Fling’ ice management on the driveway/road. My arms are sore.

Easy-peasy-feeling-fat-run amongst the slush and puddles of the neighbourhood, using a sort of mitochondrial approach in addition to my AWC loops. When I finished I did about 15 min of ice management with the slate tool (extra weight training!).

Consistent spin with just the right amount of resistance and effort to keep my HR at 120-130 bpm. Did a good stretch afterwards.

Wet, sloppy day on my AWC loops. Lots of puddles and Lake Henley to skirt around plus slushy ice on our street at the start and finish. Weird day: warmish, but with a cold Westerly, so it was tricky for deciding what to wear. I peeled layers as I went but still felt too warm. Made for an incomfortable, sluggish run.

The usual knees, cuffs, core, and balance. Training tunes included random youtube tracks from The Verve, Air, Guns ‘n’ Roses, Beck, Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, and B of C.
