Orienteering 1:31:48 [3] 10.17 km (9:02 / km) +504m 7:14 / km

Ultimately totally under prepared for this weekend in every way. Back to the drawing board.

Orienteering 1:36:18 [3] 10.31 km (9:21 / km) +602m 7:14 / km
ahr:150 max:165

This was brutal.and over by number 6.
Route choice to 2. Wrong depression at 4 and then just ran past it at 6. After that it was a depressing slog. (Although I still enjoyed the depressing slog). Tweaked my knee badly at 8 and rolled ankle at 11. Both didn’t affect the performance but will see what tomorrow brings. Very painful now.
The terrain was tough going. I was expecting more rock but it was slick humus that was as slippery as a Fox TV host.

Orienteering 38:48 [3] 5.88 km (6:36 / km) +160m 5:48 / km
ahr:153 max:169

Felt naff before and after but ok during the race. Generally poor.
#3 doubted where I was. 3 mins.
#5 ran to wrong clearing 2 mins.
Other than that just didn’t feel speedy. As Stephen Palmer used to say...”I wasn’t running around the trees the right way.”

Climbing 30:00 [3]

Short climb with the bairns at Climb 59.

Running 24:07 [3] 5.26 km (4:35 / km)
ahr:141 max:158

Treadmill. 5x30secs (x2). Feel strong. Legs a little sore still but come Friday I think I'll be in a good place. Last run before this weekends target race. Then it's preparation for WMOC and Scottish 6 Days.
