Coatham O Cross. Not done anything like this since Boxing Day 1988 maybe in Westworth Plantation. (Which could be CLOK's best venue now but nobody seemed to know of it.) Loved everything about this. Much better than a Billygoat I think cos of the doubt in following.
Mistakes...
1-8 small slightly off bearing and hesitation. 1min total
9..... disaster....Ran to 10 first. then ran over the path to 9 cos eyesight is shite and couldn't see path on red line into nettles and thistles. Just terrible. 3mins guess.
12....wrong semi open 1min 30
13 off bearing 30secs
16....missed fire break. Ran beyond 22 wtf...5min 30
17 not clean 2 min 30
18 not clean. Easy from post side on map. not obvious from 17 attack point 5min 30
21 not clean 1min 30

Total mistakes=21mins Looked a piece of piss.....Nope... going back here next week to have another go hopefully. Liked this, but some veg is like Texas no feather cactus just random hawthorn instead.
3rd. 73mins. Winner 64mins.

Took Eadie to Druridge Bay. Too tired now. Early to bed for tomorrow.

Mix run turned into a steady run. I didn't want to ease off. Knee felt ok. Waterfall farm, Fan house junction, Rhododendrons, home. Feel happier than the Start of the day. Knee was terrible this morning.

Note

Must have really overdone it last night. Up all night with stomach. Didn't fall asleep until 2. Supposed to go out on the MTB today w/ Daz but wasn't happening. I've got a bum like a Japanese flag. Going to do an easy 30mins tonight before the girls go to Rugby.
Slept in compression socks and pants. Legs were pounding last night in bed but they feel surprisingly chipper.

Note
(rest day)

Ended up doing nothing. Whole body is sore but my right knee is really worrisome. I'm hobbling every where if I'm not active.

Easy ride in Guisborough Woods before tonight's race. Bumped into Baz and had a good catch up. Not Bike fit!! Downhills were scary and torturous.

Whorlton Fell Race. Over did it a little. Legs and stomach are in disarray. Very good run for me. Took 2mins 30secs off last years run. And course was longer at the end. Bit disappointed I was second M45 by 3 secs. The lad was in tatters in front but I thought he looked younger than 45 and just didn't bother reeling him in. I had it in me but god knows what I'd feel like now. Possible top 10 finish tonight. I'll update later. Sam Garrett won....nice! Dad said he looked worse than me! Must really be struggling. Love that course. Found out I'll miss Inclined to Madness which is not cool.
49:33 12th place.

Running 5:12 [3] 0.79 km (6:36 / km) +6m 6:22 / km

Easy again. Supposed to do two runs but the pain in my right knee is becoming unbearable. Got whorlton race tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be ok.
