Running warm up/down 10:00 [1]

10 AM

Orienteering race (JHI Relay) 38:52 [4] ** 6.18 km (6:17 / km) +148m 5:37 / km
slept:7.5 shoes: inov-8 Mudclaw 300

Pretty clean - lost a couple of minutes perhaps just on being under-motivated a bit by not even being able to see any of the pack but kept it without any real mistakes. Felt very slow and definitely could've sped up around all the first section of the course. Was planning to get the nav right but that was all fine so should've taken a faster approach.

Running warm up/down 15:00 [1]

11 AM

Orienteering race (JHI Individual) 1:08:53 [4] *** 9.21 km (7:29 / km) +430m 6:04 / km
slept:8.5 shoes: inov-8 Arctic Talon 275

Started off okay and did the long #3 quite well and had the leading overall time. At #4 made a route choice to go right up onto the top of the hill - would've been so much better to stick it out at the same height along the slope because I was way above my control which lost me a real chunk of time. Hit #5 pretty well but then was not fine enough at all on the way into #6 - losing at least 3 minutes. I think the rest of the course was alright, just losing lots of time at those points threw me down quite far.

Running 23:47 [3] 4.85 km (4:54 / km) +20m 4:48 / km
slept:8.0 shoes: New Balance MT690v2

Morning run before school. Just staying at a steady easy pace through the forest to start building up more running - obviously very slow comparatively at events so needing to work on speed a lot more.
5 PM

Cycling / Spinning 30:00 [2]

Easy on the exercise bike after school.

Swimming 45:00 [4]

86 x 17m lengths
Sticking with the interval style swims - probably not ideal concentrating on strokes and arms at points but a good thing to keep me going anyway.

6 PM

Cycling / Spinning 30:00 [2] 15.49 km (31.0 kph)
slept:8.0

Hadn't managed to fit in a run this morning with a lot of work due in, so only went for an easy session on the exercise bike.

Cycling / Spinning intervals 30:05 [5] 15.88 km (31.7 kph)
slept:8.0

Quite hard intervals that worked quite well and was definitely feeling it afterwards. Pushing quite hard to keep up above 40km/h on most of the four pushes.
