Orienteering race 1:07:05 [4] 6.7 km (10:01 / km)
shoes: Integrator

First ROC meet of the season, reasonable effort. Working to figure out how the Garmin does its thing...

Very neat - Garmin plus Quickroute gives a visual replay.

See my errors on 2, 4, 7, and 9, and my big gafe leaving 12. But all in all, it looks like a good day.

Morning Run (pavement) 25:18 [3] 3.0 mi (8:26 / mi) +35m 8:08 / mi
shoes: New Balance 479 - V2

3 mi loop with 4x59 second sprints and 61 seconds of relax between. [91 strides in 59 sec, guess I have to count to 92 or 93;-]
6:38, :59, 1:01, :58, 1:01, :59, 1:01, :59, 3:13, 8:30.

Morning Run (pavement) 16:39 [3] 1.9 mi (8:46 / mi) +20m 8:29 / mi
shoes: New Balance 479 - V2

We happen to be dog-sitting our border collie's mom, dad, and sister... lotsa dogs here... I took dad out for a run today, and he pushed the first mile.

6:13 / 1:05 / 9:20

So that's 7:18 for a mile. He slacked off then - and I thought I saw a hitch in his rear end, so I paused us but he kept trotting again, so we just finished up a bit slower. (I'm ok exercising, but realize I don't know the dog well, and don't want to cause problems...)

And yes, recall that my dog will no longer go running with me, and isn't partial to taking walks either... what a wuss;-)

Morning Run (pavement) 25:37 [3] 3.0 mi (8:32 / mi) +35m 8:14 / mi
shoes: New Balance 479 - V2

More than a normal Monday - Saturday's workout wasn't that tiring... 4 x 60 second surges. Felt reasonable, even on the last. 90 pace count for 59 seconds consistently.
