Certainly better performance. Partially because the woods were much more runnable and I was executing better navigation. However, I made a couple of really very stupid mistakes (there are just stupid mistakes) on relatively easy controls. By the end of the course I was very tired and made 5! minutes mistake on the last control.

The course was very challenging both physically and technically. The vegetation was thick and the visibility was poor. I lost about 7 minutes looking for the first control. Alexey Azarov passed me on the way to #3. We met again at #4. The control was placed in the thick green area and many people lost time there including me. We ran together to #5 and #6 and half the way to #7. He made a mistake by going too far to the right. I was able quickly relocate and ran away. Vlad caught up with me on the 8th leg and we ran together till the very end of the course.

That was a total bummer. Too many mistakes. Poor compass work. I was very unfocused.
