Sage Stomp long. Didn't really get into this. Map wasn't clicking as well, and I was moving much slower. Big mistake on way to 14, where I was guess I missed a big reentrant. Still fun, but not as awesome as the middle.

Sage Stomp sprint. A few mistakes early on, but got into a groove after #5.

Sage Stomp middle. Really happy with this race. The map was clicking, I was reading ahead, and I managed to run well. Good route choice and execution, and great views from the ridge. Best orienteering I've done in a long time.

New activity type! I just got made a permanent member of staff at TRIUMF, so am using that to justify my purchase of a mountain bike. Picked it up from a shop in Kamloops today (the brand is awesome value, but hard to find), and took it for a spin around Kenna Cartwight. Super fun to ride, though my flow and technique have lots of room for improvement.

Only fell off once, but it was in an optimally poor location. I was cycling diagonally up a hill, and I think my pedal clipped a berm. I tipped over sideways (in the direction of downhill) and landed hard on a dead tree that had fallen over. Good cuts on shin and knee, grazes on thigh and chest. Nobody was around, so my pride is still intact :)

Running the WOD courses from yesterday (download was intense, so I didn't get to run on the day itself).

Loop 1: 5:51
Loop 2: 6:20
Loop 3: 8:28
Loop 4: 10:33

Good enough for 2nd / 2nd / 4th / 3rd place, but obviously I had a big advantage by not having to stop to punch. Fun courses.

Very rainy OAK at McCartney Creek. 50% attendance rate - I thought North Shore kids would be tougher than that! Those that came had a great time though (even if we did have 70m climb by control #2...).
