Vancouver Sun Run!

I wasn't expecting a PB, so was happy to just have fun. With better pacing and less weaving I could definitely have gone sub-40.

Best supporters: the folks with Mario "power up" mushrooms at The Hornby Hill (20m climb in one block)
Best band: the brass band playing final countdown
Worst band: everybody else, who all decided slow soft rock was the thing to play
Best display of inability to judge pace: finishing at 3min/km pace.
Target for the next 12 months: Get a sub-39, so I can get a blue bib next year.

To and from the Vancouver March for Science.

Nice atmosphere, and more people than I expected (maybe a thousand?). Police did rolling road closures for the march. Stayed for a few speeches at Science World, but got cold so bailed early.

Leisurely run with Team TRIUMF, with a few strides thrown in every so often.

Pace picked up a bit more than it should in the second half, but still kept in zones 2/3.

Downhill skiing 6:02:17 [1]

Fun and adventurous day skiing at Whistler with Kate, Angela and Peter. Thanks for the invite Kate!

First time skiing above the treeline in whiteout conditions. Not a huge fan as it made me kinda nauseous. The times when I could see more than 10ft were far more enjoyable :)
