Downhill skiing 1:31:54 [1] 8.3 km (11:04 / km) +1147m 6:33 / km

I've had manflu for the last week, and skipped the trip to Sun Peaks with Kate and Alison so I could recuperate. I was starting to feel better today though, and Kate's pics made me incredibly jealous, so I thought I'd try a little bit of night skiing. This was a mistake on all fronts:

1) Seymour is boring! It might be better in the daytime, but I guess only the summit would offer anything interesting. The blues on the lodge chair take a grand total of 35s top-to-bottom (followed by a 5 minute chair ride). The other chair is better, and you can at least measure run times in minutes. The one black run that was open should have been fun, but was so busy that you just had to concentrate on avoiding people.

2) Feeling good on the sofa does not mean I'll feel good while skiing. Manflu symptoms came back, and I'm having throat sweets for supper this evening. Boo!

Lesson learned. I won't leave the house tomorrow.
