Orienteering 16:06 [4] 3.3 km (4:53 / km) +40m 4:36 / km

Test-running the elite course at Lafarge for Sprint Camp. I wasn't happy with ending, but had a flash of inspiration during the cooldown. Now I'm really happy with the courses. Fingers crossed the competitors like it too!

Track 20:10 [3] 2.5 km (8:04 / km)

Quick track session, testing how my knee and leg muscles feel about moving quickly.

Knee - "good!"
Hamstrings - "lol, what is this? You haven't stretched us for 6 weeks and now expect us to do work? Nope."

Pretty standard.

Mapping 3:30:00 [0]

Final tweaks to the maps for Sprint Camp. Snow is 99% gone; even the 6ft snowbanks in Poirier are much reduced and no longer an obstacle to route choice.

Downhill skiing 7:30:00 [1]

Downhill at Cypress with Carla and Andre. They're better skiers than I am, but I'm more reckless, so it evens out.

Starting to work on more technical things, including backwards skiing (abysmal), really short turns (getting better), and moguls (still a step too far).

I'd gone there expecting an inclined skating rink, but temperatures must have been *just* below freezing for the last few days so it hadn't melted. Few cm of North Shore powder covering the ice :)

Orienteering 38:00 [3] 6.45 km (5:53 / km)

WET at King Edward West organised by Emma and Nicole.

Made a couple of silly "mistakes" by assuming white would be runnable, and distinct trails would be visible. Added to the fun though, so not classing them as real mistakes.

Overshot #10 as I folded my map poorly and miscounted the number of bends. Quickly saw the bridge and knew to turn back.

Good job girls!
