Running warm up/down 22:30 [3] 4.0 km (5:38 / km)

This is an estimate of WU/WD but included lots of running in WU cos of the shan weather

Orienteering race 54:24 [3] 8.3 km (6:33 / km)

Northern Champs M18E 7.1km - 2nd.

Started snowing heavily in -1 which was EPIC and then just really struggled to break 8 minute kms in the first bit of forest- rocks and crap absolutely everywhere.
Long leg was bang average and lost a minute to flurry on it. After a nice wade through the “white open runnable forest” to #7 I tried to push the pace on the open section but made a little mistake at #10 with a well hidden kite.
Kept it just about together on #12 and from #15 to the end was pretty good just picking off the controls.
Area was pretty dead and it felt a bit more like a long middle but did enjoy it, cos despite a lack of flow my nav was decent. Shows that u don’t need to be good u can just be fine to do well.

Was fine but had made the wrong shoe choice after all this rain so was slipping and sliding about for basically all of it which was frustrating. Got a really clean last rep tho which was nice
