Orienteering warm up/down 5:55 [3] 1.0 km (5:55 / km)

WU

Orienteering race (Scottish Six Days ) 42:44 [3] 6.58 km (6:30 / km)

SSD Day 6 M16A 5.8km

2nd +3.45 to matt

Pretty good run was clean through first bit then was too high on 7 and got saved by Ali T so not too bad. 8 didn't go far enough round the slope and was too low so probs 1 min of faffing. Slight directional error out of 9 but corrected then mucked 10. Apart from that speed was really good despite being very tired from 2 weeks of O
2nd overall with 2 2 2 1 so a nice week pretty consistent. Now time for some intense resting.

Orienteering warm up/down 11:40 [3] 2.0 km (5:50 / km)

Combined WU+WD

Orienteering race (Scottish Six Days ) 45:00 [3] 7.49 km (6:00 / km)

SSD Day 5 6.4km 230m climb.

2nd +2.55 to Louis.

Good race was clean through the first bit but lost all of my time (3 mins) on the long leg where I found a parallel ride/path which confused. Scrapping about in marshes to high up and then mucking up on actual approach so not good. Apart from that it was fine with good speed and nav with only 8 secs separating me and louis in the course bar the long leg

Orienteering warm up/down 7:08 [3] 1.33 km (5:22 / km)

WU

Orienteering race (Scottish Six Days ) 45:24 [3] 6.17 km (7:21 / km)

Day 3 4.8km 210m climb
8th

Bit of a shiter not gonna lie. Lost about 1.5mins at 2 by not following by compass and going to a 25m lower down boulder instead of mine. Had a total car crash at 4 when I thought I was on the indistinct path leading to the control but was actually on an elephant track about 25m lower down. Cue 6 mins of farting about achieving fuck all before relocating off a lower crag. Cba after that and just cruised round the rest, which was all fine and I think I had an ok time from then on

Orienteering race 19:45 [3] 2.72 km (7:16 / km)

Ballater Sprint.
Knee is still not 100% so decided just to jog doing map memory. Felt fine whilst jogging so should be good to go again tomorrow.

Orienteering warm up/down (Scottish Six Days ) 9 [3] 1.5 km (6 / km)

WU

Orienteering race (Scottish Six Days ) 52:08 [3] 7.43 km (7:01 / km)

SSD Day 3
M16A 5.8km 235m
4th.

Bit of a mixed day. Unlucky getting the 10.00 start meant I was setting tracks throughout. Was fine through the first section with a good safe route on the long leg. Then lost bout 3 mins on 10 with bad direction. All fine till exiting 17 when I slammed my knee off a rock. Painful as fuck and lost over 2.5minutes in the last due to reduced mobility but to make matters worse made a mistake cos I felt sick and my head was totally out of it.
The position doesn't reflect the run but limited damage do not too bad

Orienteering warm up/down (Scottish Six Days ) 12:00 [3] 2.0 km (6:00 / km)

Combined WU+WD

Orienteering race (Scottish Six Days ) 45:40 [3] 6.86 km (6:39 / km)

SSD Day 2 6.5km 210m climb.
1st

Had a really good run. Bashed through the first 3 controls at a good speed then slowed right down for the next 8 controls in the technical section. Played it safe keeping contact with the map and got through pretty much unscathed. Then it was just a case of executing hard and fast bearings to the finish.
Managed to nosedive into the final ditch before the bridge on the run in #classic
