Sometimes you just have to laugh.....
Having had fine weather all day it started snowing on the way to #1 and from then on it just got heavier. Absolute loved the course tho, made even better by the interesting conditions.
Mistakes were small and I think my routechoice was satisfactory, but much to improve.

Big Weekend Course 2
One advantage of the event being voided is I could run up- decided men’s open was a bit of a trek so did men’s vet/ women’s open instead.
Was indeed extremely icey so I totally agree with them voiding it. Managed not to fall but had to go slow, especially round the bit near Arthur’s seat.
Only 1 technical error so pleased nav wise

Great fun- extremely tricky- I seemed to be standing still most of the time. Also featuring the most technical run in ever

BOF Phys Testing at Edinburgh Uni.
Literally the hardest I’ve worked- managed to complete the 3 mins at 19km/hr before slamming the big red button. Heart rate at the end was 205 bpm which is pretty astronomical.
Pleased tho cos this was aim for the session, and it’s hard to keep going with 3 stop buttons right beside you.

Found a 2014 map of Dean Village and surrounding area (including Stew Mel) with a FTWN course from a few years ago on it. Had final exam then ran from school and did course.
Dean Village is a cracking wee area-v intricate although I was struggling on an out of date low resolution map. Only 1 huge booboo but the sprint is certainly rusty.

Absolute banger of a run to kick off the new year.
From other grandparents house in Ettrick. Took it easy with the new year celebrations last night so felt good this morning. Headed from the house round a big horseshoe valley- had about 500m climb with decent weather as well. Only fell once so a great start.
