Orienteering race 1:13:31 [3] 11.0 km (6:41 / km) +75m 6:28 / km

Ran Blue at QOC's Mason Neck meet. Very little contour there, and 2.5 meter contour intervals. Felt very strong physically and effectively used my compass. Poor distance estimation on 17-18, and misread my map when heading to 22. I went to control 1 thinking it was 22, and had a heck of a time figuring out what was going on until I realized my mistake.

Raced the 800m in 2:05.9. Started my kick too early and completely died the last 100m.

Easy jog, then two laps of jogging and striding 100m's.

Thursday Apr 12, 2018 #

Running tempo 32:00 [4] 5.0 mi (6:24 / mi)

Ran 2.25 miles (8:00 pace), tempo run back (6:00 pace). Then ran four 200m's at 29 second pace with a 100m walk between sets.

Wednesday Apr 11, 2018 #

Raced the 1600m today. Clean start to the season with a 4:45.

Tuesday Apr 10, 2018 #

Running 33:50 [2] 4.5 mi (7:31 / mi) +55m 7:15 / mi

Easy 4 mile jog then two laps of 100 100's.

Monday Apr 9, 2018 #

Running intervals 30:00 [4] 4.2 mi (7:09 / mi)

1 mile warmup. Then ran 600, 2x400, 2x300, 4x200 at 68 second 400 pace. 200m jog between sets. Then a core workout and 1 mile cool down.
