Note

I only got ~five hours of sleep, so I was too tired to get up at oh-dark-thirty for a run in the morning (which would have meant only getting ~four hours of sleep)...

I gave my presentation, managed to stay awake through the rest of the conference sessions, headed to the airport, and eventually got home at ~7pm.

I guess the highlights of the day would be:

* Finding Garrett's Popcorn (from Chicago) at DFW -- I bought a bag of the disgusting-sounding-but-actually-delicious cheese & caramel combo, even though that meant missing the early-boarding group for my flight (I was in line behind two incredibly slow and indecisive women. It's POPCORN, not a 401k plan. Pick a flavor and move on already!).

* Finally extracting a quarter-inch-long cactus spine out of my calf -- it has been there since SWSW in February. It was totally gross and I took a picture. :-P

Conference straight through from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, about 45 minutes of "free time", and then a group dinner. It was all interesting and fun stuff, but I got back to my room at 9:15 pm and then had to prep for tomorrow's presentation. Again, no time for a run.

3:30 am wake-up call for another work trip... We had afternoon conference sessions and a reception, and then I had dinner at the hotel. And then it was 9pm and I was too tired to run.
