Prepping for the Greenland 25K trail race in a few weeks...

I ran the Dirty Bismark loop again, counter-clockwise this time (which I definitely prefer -- going down the l-o-n-g Coalton hill is much better than going up it). Weather was perfect -- sun, ~60 degrees, and only a light wind.

Red course at Chatfield State Park.

This isn't a technical area -- but I have still managed to make plenty of terrible route choices and dumb mistakes here in the past.

Today was definitely a "runner's course" (which suits me right now). And, except for #7, I didn't do anything I really want to kick myself for. I think I might have been the first female finisher, even ahead of Maiya & Gøril (Doug was having lots of problems with the OE2010 software today, so it'll probably be awhile before I see official results...).

Critique -- I should have done a better job staying on my bearing to #5. Lost time at #7 -- I left the trail too soon (several of us were wandering there).

Took trails all the way to #8 to avoid the thick green that has trapped me in the past. Overshot #9 a bit b/c I had misread (or misremembered) the control description.

Windy & chilly at registration, but nice, sunny weather once I started running.

Drafting messages with links, photos, and tables takes forever because I'm writing the raw HTML (I haven't found an email client that gives me enough control over the layout / format). Really need to buy MailChimp or something like that...

Final push to finalize everything for tomorrow's meet after a quick trip out for Mod Pizza --

- 2018 waivers -- downloaded Google form data, made some corrections, and imported into RMOC membership database.

- Made adjustments to the course/class linking table to reflect CSOL details (why didn't I save this from last year???).

- Updated PHP code that generates the preliminary OE2010 entries file from pre-reg data (added logic to pull in runner's school name, if applicable; adjustments to fee calculation logic).

- Manually entered names, e-punch numbers, and course / class details for Air Academy & Fountain Valley School runners.

- Generated OE2010 class & entry files for Doug and emailed them.

- Generated regular start cards & CSOL start cards (OMG it's almost midnight and I'm out of ink and I can't print the start cards! Nevermind, I have some spare cartridges...whew); sorted CSOL cards into packets with master lists for coaches.

Finished before midnight -- yay.

I had volunteered to lead the trail option of a social ride leaving from and finishing at a local taproom this evening...but I was the only MTBer who showed up; the other two road bikers were disinclined to ride because of the wind. So I dashed back home, changed shoes, shorts & headgear (helmet --> visor), and met up with my run group just a bit late.
