Easy run @ Davidson Mesa before tomorrow's 10K race -- ran 3, walked the rest. I probably should have just walked or rested today, but I missed both of my running group workouts this week, due to having other plans on Tuesday & Thursday, and I was starting to feel lazy!

I've been advised to try the gratitude thing -- ~three per day.

Catching up from last week:

7/31: My parents are both still alive. I have a great yoga instructor at the local rec center. My patio flowers are looking great.

7/30: Seeing cute Abert squirrels in the woods. Having great o-maps / terrain like Manitou Park. Enjoying a good Belgian sour beer.

7/29: Wet pine forest smell. Having a fun night-o course. Having a free & nice place to crash / not having to camp in the rain or pay $$$ for a hotel room.

Red course at Manitou Park. Very fun, but again with dumb mistakes near the end (#16 smallish, #17 bigger), when I was thinking about being finished and not concentrating like I should... :-P The splits graph shows that I lost two spots at the end, by about three minutes. Argh! But I was happy to finish #7 out of 19 (ahead of John, Sharon & Sverre, which is rare).
